Step Up To Quality (SUTQ)
Professional Development
All administrators and lead and assistant teachers in Step Up to Quality rated programs must complete 20 hours of specialized (ODJFS–approved) training over 2 years. Ten of those hours are prerequisites based upon the age–group being served. Upon completion of the prerequisites, staff can take any other approved training in order to fulfill annual specialized training requirements, as long as it is aligned to the individual's professional development plan.
SUTQ programs are eligible to participate in T.E.A.C.H., a compensation and retention scholarship program for child care professionals.
OCCRRA offers SUTQ–approved trainings (including pre–requisite trainings) through the Ohio Professional Registry
